Biometric Consent Notice
Read this before you take a selfie. It explains the face template BSoura creates, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and how to say no.
In one paragraph
To find your photos, BSoura turns your selfie into a temporary face template(a numeric description of your facial features), compares it only against the photos from the one event you opened, shows you your matches, and then deletes the selfie and the template. It is never sold, never used to advertise or profile you, and never used to identify you anywhere else. Taking the selfie is your choice — if you don't, no template is ever created.
What you are consenting to
To find your photos, BSoura converts the selfie you take into a face template — a numeric representation of your facial features. This face template is a biometric identifier. We create and use it only to match you to your photos at this one named event, and for nothing else.
How the match works
- You take or upload a selfie on the next screen — only if you choose to.
- We create a temporary face template from it, in memory.
- We compare that template against the templates of faces in this event's photos.
- We show you the photos you appear in, and immediately discard your selfie and its template.
What we will not do with it
- Use your face template for advertising or marketing.
- Use it to train or improve models, or to build a profile of you.
- Use it to identify or match you across any other event or database.
- Sell it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Where it is stored, and when it is deleted
Your selfie and the face template made from it are processed in memory in [PLACEHOLDER: backend hosting location(s)] and are never written to storage. This is the retention-and-destruction schedule, also published in our Privacy Policy:

Who receives it
The face template is handled by BSoura and the hosting and face-matching providers that operate the service on our behalf under contract. It is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
How to withdraw consent
Giving consent is optional — you only proceed if you choose to take a selfie. You can stop at any time simply by not searching, you can request removal of any photo you appear in, and you can contact us at [PLACEHOLDER: contact email for privacy requests] to withdraw. Withdrawing does not affect matching that already took place before you withdrew.

Illinois BIPA disclosure
If you are using BSoura in Illinois, this notice is the written disclosure that BSoura collects and uses a biometric identifier and biometric information (your face template) for the purpose and for the duration described above. Providing the affirmative consent described below constitutes your written releasefor that collection and use under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. BSoura's biometric retention-and-destruction schedule is the one set out above and published in our Privacy Policy. If BSoura is not operating in Illinois, face matching is geofenced off there and this section does not apply.

Your affirmative choice
You provide this consent by an explicit, affirmative action — confirming you are 18 or older and tapping to agree on the consent screen, before your selfie is taken and beforeany face template is created. There is no pre-checked box and no "by continuing you agree": if you do not affirmatively agree, no face template is ever created.
